TAAG Angola Airlines has received its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, part of an order for four new aircraft, including two 787-9s and two 787-10s, leased from AERCAP. The aircraft, named ‘Namibe’ and showcasing the airline’s new livery, arrived at Luanda International Airport on January 30, 2025. This milestone coincides with Angola’s upcoming Liberation Day and the nation’s 50th independence anniversary in November 2025, which TAAG celebrates with a special logo on the aircraft. The airline operates a diverse fleet, including Boeing 737s and De Havilland Dash 8s, and has partnered with Lufthansa Technik for support services for the new 787s.
