Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), a leader in medium widebody freighter aircraft leasing, has agreed to be acquired by Stonepeak for around $3.1 billion. Shareholders will receive $22.50 per share, a premium of approximately 29.3% over ATSG’s closing price before the announcement. The deal, expected to finalize in the first half of 2025, will take ATSG private. Both ATSG executives and Stonepeak expressed confidence in the transaction, highlighting its potential to enhance ATSG’s growth and service offerings in the air cargo market.
