Shell and TenneT have established a connection and transport agreement to link Shell’s Holland Hydrogen 1, a 200 MW electrolyser, to the high-voltage grid. Initially, this will be through a temporary connection to the Maasvlakte 380 kV substation, with a permanent connection following the completion of the new Amaliahaven substation in 2026. This collaboration, praised by both companies and the port of Rotterdam, aims to enhance the sustainability of Dutch industry through green hydrogen, showcasing effective teamwork in the energy transition.
