Construction is already underway and is expected to generate 100 jobs by 2026. Illinois is supporting the project with a $16 million incentive package, including tax benefits. This initiative aligns with Rivian’s strategy to bolster domestic production amidst rising tariffs affecting imported vehicles and parts, while the company continues to produce EVs in Normal.
