Qatar Airways has partnered with Virgin Australia to enhance cargo capacity on flights to and from Australia starting June 2025. This collaboration will increase cargo capacity on routes to Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth, adding over 180 tonnes weekly in each direction. Virgin Australia is set to resume long-haul operations, launching flights from these cities to Doha, with Melbourne to Doha flights planned for December 2025. Additionally, Qatar Airways Cargo will begin freighter operations to Atlanta, providing over 200 tonnes of cargo capacity weekly on that route.
