Qantas Group has enhanced its partnership with Western Sydney International Airport by becoming its first freight airline to utilize the new 24-hour Cargo Precinct. This facility is set to boost Sydney’s air cargo capacity by approximately 33% and will feature around 24,000 square meters of space, including 14,000 square meters dedicated to warehousing. With the ability to service eight wide-body aircraft, the precinct will support Qantas’s modernized freighter fleet. It aims to meet the rising demand for e-commerce and create significant job opportunities, enhancing operational efficiencies for various exporters.
