Pitney Bowes has laid off approximately 2,300 employees in the third quarter as part of a broader “cost rationalization” strategy aimed at reducing expenses within its SendTech and Presort business units. This initiative, which has also included previous cuts of 367 jobs in Q2, has generated around $90 million in annual savings. The company plans to continue job reductions, targeting completion by mid-2025, and will also focus on external cost savings in the future. The cost-cutting measures do not affect its former Global Ecommerce unit, which is undergoing additional layoffs.
