The American Trucking Associations (ATA) praised the bipartisan effort to remove redundant fees and background checks for essential supply chain workers. ATA President Chris Spear highlighted the bill as a significant step towards reducing bureaucratic obstacles. Additionally, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) proposed new rules to enhance broker transparency, ensuring quicker access to transaction records for shippers and motor carriers, aiming to improve fairness and efficiency in the transportation system.
