In the first week of November, global air cargo spot rates rose significantly, increasing by 5% week-on-week and 24% year-on-year, driven primarily by the Asia-Pacific and European regions. Rates from Asia-Pacific reached $4.43 per kilo, while European rates rose to $2.49. Central and South America saw a 10% increase, though rates from Africa and the Middle East fell. Overall, demand remained stable, with a slight increase in flown tonnages year-on-year, despite declines in some regions. Capacity dropped by 3% week-on-week but saw a slight recovery in freighter capacity.
