Emirates SkyCargo's tonnage for the first half of 2024 has risen by 16% due to increased e-commerce traffic.

In the first half of 2024, Emirates SkyCargo transported 1,198,000 tonnes of cargo, marking a 16% increase from the previous year, driven by robust Chinese e-commerce and higher shipments to Dubai. Capacity rose to 29.9 billion Available Tonne Kilometres due to expanded flight operations. Emirates also ordered 10 new Boeing 777 freighters to support growth. Revenue for the Emirates Group increased by 5% to $19.3 billion, while net profit fell by 8% to $2.5 billion, attributed to rising operating costs. The outlook remains positive as demand is expected to stay strong.
