Windracers ULTRA completes a 1,000 km flight as part of an anti-doping test.

Windracers successfully conducted a 1,000-km flight of its ULTRA autonomous heavy-lift aircraft in North America, aimed at evaluating the capability of transporting anti-doping blood samples over long distances. The flight, managed by the University of Alaska Fairbanks, marked the first beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) mission for the aircraft in the region. Led by the International Testing Agency (ITA), the project seeks to determine if autonomous aircraft can enhance logistics in remote areas, especially for timely sample delivery during major sporting events. The study will analyze whether the integrity of blood samples is maintained during such flights, potentially expanding transport options for anti-doping efforts.
