The Port of Antwerp-Bruges has begun the renovation of the docks at Hansa Dock.

The Port of Antwerp-Bruges will begin the renewal of quays 231 and 239 and reconfigure the intermediate inlet dock at Hansa Dock in September 2026. This project aims to provide additional concession land and improved quay walls for future port activities. The inlet dock will be sealed with a new quay wall, while existing walls will be rehabilitated. Van der Straaten - Sagro has been selected as the contractor under an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) model, allowing collaboration during the design phase. The project is scheduled to be completed by January 2028, with minimal disruption to port operations.
