Airbus reported a 5% increase in consolidated revenue for the first nine months of 2024, reaching €44.5 billion, driven by a 4% rise in commercial aircraft revenues to €32.9 billion, fueled by higher deliveries. Despite this, net income fell by 22% to €1.8 billion, with adjusted operating profit down 23% to €2.8 billion. CEO Guillaume Faury highlighted strong demand and ongoing adjustments to supply chain challenges. Meanwhile, Boeing faced an $8 billion loss amid flat revenues of $51.3 billion, attributed to labor stoppages and prior charges, prompting a call for cultural and operational improvements.
