In August 2026, Cathay Cargo reported a cargo volume of 151,904 tonnes, an 8.6% increase from the previous year, with Available Freight Tonne Kilometres (AFTKs) at 1.37 billion, up 1.4%. Revenue Freight Tonne Kilometres (RFTKs) rose by 3.1% to 785.39 million, while the cargo load factor improved to 57.4%. For the first eight months of 2026, AFTKs totaled 10.29 billion (up 3.1%) and RFTKs 6.06 billion (up 4.2%). Increased demand, particularly for semiconductor shipments and inventory replenishment, contributed to these results, with expectations of continued strong demand heading into the peak season.
