Textron Aviation and Merlin have introduced the Cessna SkyCourier UX, a concept aircraft that merges the SkyCourier platform with Merlin’s autonomous aviation software. Unveiled at the Air, Space & Cyber Conference, this design focuses on enhancing logistics for military operations in challenging environments, particularly when traditional supply routes are compromised. The SkyCourier UX aims to provide a medium-payload, autonomous solution for cargo transport, operating from unimproved runways and increasing efficiency in resupply missions, thus improving operational resilience.
