Glasgow Prestwick Airport has introduced a new direct cargo route to Urumqi Tianshan International Airport, enhancing its connections to northwestern China and benefiting Scottish exporters. The service, which began on September 13 and operates twice weekly, complements existing routes to Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Shanghai. This addition is expected to open new trade opportunities, particularly for the seafood and whisky sectors. With growing cargo demand and a strong partnership with Air China, Prestwick continues to expand its international cargo network, reflecting significant growth in trade volumes.
