In its centennial year, Lufthansa Cargo is focusing on sustainable growth by acquiring LUG aircargo handling GmbH to enhance its operational capacity in Germany. This acquisition aligns with Lufthansa Cargo's strategy for modernization, supported by a €600 million investment under the LCCevo program, and aims to improve competitiveness without altering customer relations. LUG, a well-established air cargo handler with 400 employees and extensive warehouse space, is expected to thrive under Lufthansa Cargo's ownership, enhancing both companies' capabilities in a volatile market.
