On September 4, a humanitarian flight carrying 84 tonnes of emergency supplies from UNICEF landed in Kathmandu, intensifying relief efforts for families affected by recent flash floods in Nepal. The shipment included crucial items such as hygiene kits, water-treatment supplies, and winter clothing for children, targeting communities in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading. UNICEF estimates that around 65,000 people, including 22,100 children, have been impacted, with significant damage to infrastructure complicating aid delivery. The European Union supported these efforts, emphasizing the need for ongoing humanitarian assistance and preparedness for future disasters.
