Port of Antwerp-Bruges enhances its trade connections with India.

Following Prime Minister Bart De Wever's visit to India, the Port of Antwerp-Bruges will host an event in Mumbai on September 4 to discuss the opportunities arising from the India-EU Free Trade Agreement. This initiative aims to strengthen trade relations, as India is a significant market for the Port, which handled 6.3 million tonnes of goods from or to India in 2025. The agreement is expected to reduce tariffs and simplify customs, potentially doubling EU exports to India by 2032, particularly benefiting sectors aligned with the Port's operations. The dialogue will include key Indian and Belgian government officials and business leaders.
