CPKC starts the crop year by setting a new record for August.

Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) announced a record-breaking August for transporting Canadian grain, moving 2.54 million metric tonnes and 26,051 carloads in August 2026, surpassing previous records from August 2020. This achievement marks a strong start to the 2026-2027 crop year, which began on August 1. CPKC also set an annual record for the 2025-2026 crop year, transporting 30.66 million metric tonnes, exceeding the previous record from 2020-2021. Additionally, CPKC achieved a combined monthly tonnage record of 4.86 million metric tonnes across its U.S. and Canada network.
