Afcom and Boeing have signed a Letter of Intent for the purchase of four 777-8 freighter aircraft.

Afcom Holdings has signed a letter of intent with Boeing to purchase up to four 777-8F freighter aircraft, pending final documentation. Chairperson Deepak Parasuraman noted that the number may change as the agreement progresses, but the aim is for four aircraft. These will be based in Chennai, enhancing the company's operations into the Far East and Africa. Afcom plans to expand its fleet with five Boeing 737 freighters and highlighted strong demand for cargo services. The LOI represents Afcom's first move into widebody aircraft, following a period of rapid growth and financial success.
