The Port of Los Angeles is putting money into the Freedom of the Seas Park and Pavilion.

The Port of Los Angeles is allocating $4 million for the Pacific Battleship Center’s Freedom of the Seas Park and Pavilion, a new waterfront venue near the USS IOWA for events and community gatherings. This funding was approved through an amendment to the ship's lease, entirely funded by Port revenues. The project, costing around $17 million, will include a multipurpose building for up to 550 people and surrounding park spaces. It aims to enhance community engagement, providing a significant venue for educational and veteran programs while receiving broad community support.
