Ethiopian Airlines has launched a direct cargo service between Chengdu and Africa.

Ethiopian Airlines has introduced a new freighter service connecting Chengdu, China, to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, establishing the first direct all-cargo air route between Chengdu and Africa. This service, announced on LinkedIn, aims to enhance trade between Southwest China and Africa. The route, operated by Boeing 777F freighters, began on August 28, initially running twice a week, with plans to increase to four flights. The airline’s hub in Addis Ababa will facilitate cargo distribution to major African cities, supporting economic exchanges between the regions.
