India-UK CETA: Could tariff benefits transform the air cargo route?

The India-UK trade relationship has evolved significantly with the implementation of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) on July 15, 2026, which eliminates tariffs and redefines sourcing and manufacturing strategies. The agreement grants Indian exporters preferential access to the UK market while enabling UK businesses to tap into India's growing economy. With 99% of Indian goods entering the UK duty-free and reduced tariffs on 90% of UK imports, logistics companies anticipate a transformation in trade dynamics. While immediate logistics changes won't be evident, the potential for substantial growth in bilateral trade, targeting $100–120 billion by 2030, is highlighted, alongside challenges in compliance and supply chain management.
