Lego Group is enhancing its sustainable sourcing as it aims for higher-quality materials in its toy bricks, with 30% of purchased resin certified as mass balance in the first half of the year, equating to 22% of raw materials from renewable and recycled sources. The company plans to increase its sustainable raw material purchases to minimize virgin fossil fuel use. Lego has also set a goal to achieve net zero emissions by 2050, focusing on reducing scope 3 emissions tied to supply chains and has initiated a Supplier Sustainability Programme to encourage emission reductions among suppliers.
