NMIA proudly introduces its first B747 freighter, affectionately known as the Queen of the Skies.

Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) celebrated the arrival of its largest aircraft, a Boeing 747-400F operated by National Airlines, from Frankfurt Hahn on August 24, marking a significant milestone in its cargo operations. This quad-engine freighter's landing highlights the airport's rapid growth as a freight hub in western India, following the introduction of various cargo aircraft types over the month. While initial ground handling faced challenges, including technical delays, these teething issues are expected to improve as NMIA adapts to larger freighter operations, positioning itself as a viable alternative to existing cargo facilities in Mumbai.
