Baltic Shipping introduces two new ships.

Baltic Shipping Company A/S has enhanced its fleet with two new vessels, M/V Baltic Iron and M/V Baltic Timber, which utilize wind-assisted propulsion and battery technology. Both 3,550 DWT vessels feature Econowind VentoFoils, expected to cut fuel consumption by up to 12%, and are classified as hybrid due to their large battery packs. The addition of these vessels enables the company to better meet customer demands for reduced CO₂ emissions, showcasing a commitment to sustainable shipping operations in the European shortsea market, as noted by CEO Ronnie Hulstrøm.
