Cathay Cargo's cargo volume increased by 6.1% in July 2026.

In July 2026, Cathay Cargo transported 148,638 tonnes, marking a 6.1% increase year-on-year, driven by demand despite a slight decline in capacity. Revenue freight tonne kilometres (RFTKs) rose 1.5% to 764.68 million, while available freight tonne kilometres (AFTKs) decreased 0.1% to 1.29 billion, resulting in a cargo load factor of 59.2%. Cumulatively, AFTKs increased by 3.3% and cargo carried jumped 8.1% to 1.02 million tonnes. Demand remained strong, particularly for technology shipments, prompting plans for increased freighter capacity to the Americas and select regional routes.
