Lufthansa Cargo's traffic revenue for the third quarter increased by 17%.

Lufthansa Cargo experienced a significant rise in operating profit, reaching €38 million in Q3 2024, up from €1 million the previous year, despite the typically weak air freight season. The company is well-positioned to leverage growth in e-commerce, shifting focus from transatlantic routes to Asia/Pacific. Traffic revenue rose 17% to €731 million, and cargo tonne kilometres grew by 11%. For the first nine months, traffic revenue increased by 3%, although EBIT fell by 72%. The Lufthansa Group's total revenue rose 5% to €10.7 billion, affirming expectations for a positive Q4 operating result.
