Alfor is set to establish a £50 million facility for converting freighters in Teesside.

Alfor Aviation will establish a significant aircraft conversion campus at Teesside International Airport through a 50-year agreement, investing £50 million in the region. This project will generate approximately 250 high-skilled jobs and feature specialized facilities for aircraft conversions, including hangars and engineering workshops. Expected to be operational by the end of 2027, the campus will have the capacity to convert up to 24 passenger aircraft into freighters annually. The investment highlights Teesside Airport’s potential for growth in the aviation sector, bolstered by its Freeport status and connectivity advantages.
