According to DAT, weekly spot market loads are showing a downward trend.

Recent data from DAT Freight & Analytics reveals a decrease in truckload spot market load posts for the week of October 20-26, with 1.94 million loads available, a 10% drop from the previous week but a 19% increase compared to the same week in 2023. Notably, van loads fell by 9%, reefer loads by 15%, and flatbed loads by 8%. Despite these declines, signs of strength in van freight were noted, with load posts 27% higher than in previous years. Analysts suggest that a demand catalyst is needed for sustained recovery, with expectations of a slow start to 2025.
