Pressure for sustainability in air cargo has reached its lowest point since 2021.

The 2026 Air Cargo Industry Sustainability Survey by TIACA reveals a decrease in external pressure for sustainability in the air cargo sector, dropping to 53%, the lowest since 2021. Despite this, internal support remains high, with 95% of respondents indicating CEO backing and 92% viewing it as a strategic priority. Sustainability is crucial for employees and customers, but only 30% see a positive impact on profits. Many companies have sustainability strategies, and 68% are incorporating climate adaptation into their business plans. However, there is a noted decline in focus on diversity and inclusion.
