Swissport has enhanced its cargo network in Africa by launching a new temperature-controlled facility at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania, aimed at bolstering cold chain capacity for the region's perishables export market. This 630-square-meter facility is designed to ensure the integrity of temperature-sensitive shipments and address existing capacity constraints. Equipped with advanced technologies, it can handle up to 13,000 tonnes annually. The investment supports the growing demand for perishables and aligns with Swissport's strategy to expand specialized cargo operations across Africa, ultimately improving access to international markets.
