Etihad and AWA establish a strategic partnership for cargo operations.

Etihad Airways and Africa World Airlines (AWA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing passenger and cargo connectivity between West Africa, Abu Dhabi, and Etihad's global network. This agreement, signed in Accra, includes codeshare and interline cooperation, cargo collaboration, and frequent flyer programs, facilitating access for Ghanaian exporters to Etihad Cargo's services. The partnership reflects growing ties between Ghana and the UAE and supports Etihad's upcoming Abu Dhabi–Accra service launch on March 24, 2027. The MoU is effective from July 24, 2026, with phased implementation of services.
