The inaugural Saudia Cargo flight will land at Avalon Airport, Melbourne, on July 25, establishing the first direct air cargo link between Australia and Saudi Arabia. Operated by a Boeing 747-400 freighter, this service alleviates capacity issues for Australian exporters who previously depended on limited space in passenger flights. It aims to enhance bilateral trade, supporting exports of high-value goods like food, pharmaceuticals, and technology. Sam Jamsheedi from the Australia Saudi Business Council emphasized that this route signifies a new era of trade and partnership, bolstering economic ties between both nations.
