MSC Air Cargo has placed an order for five Boeing 777-8 freighters, marking its first acquisition of this model and expanding its all-Boeing freighter fleet. Announced at the Farnborough International Airshow, this order reflects MSC's strategy to enhance its global air cargo network with more capacity and efficiency. CEO Jannie Davel emphasized the long-term investment in sustainable operations. The 777-8F is touted as the most efficient twin-engine freighter, with superior payload and lower operating costs. The aircraft's entry into service is anticipated in 2028.
