A Kalitta Air Boeing 777-300ERSF experienced a tail strike while landing at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport on July 19, leading to a go-around before successfully landing on a second attempt. The aircraft, registered N778CK, is one of the first converted freighters under Israel Aerospace Industries' program and was delivered to Kalitta in September 2025. After departing Brussels, it encountered the tail strike but landed safely with no injuries reported. The plane will be inspected and repaired in Michigan before returning to service.
