Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has been named the world's busiest cargo airport for the 15th time since 2010, managing 5.1 million tonnes of cargo and airmail in the fiscal year ending March 2026, a 2.7% increase from the previous year. Aircraft movements rose by 7.1% to 399,450. Despite geopolitical tensions, HKIA's performance highlights its status as a leading air cargo hub. The airport's cargo strategy includes the HKIA Dongguan Logistics Park, which enhances efficiency, supports trade, and reduces costs. Plans for infrastructure expansion and digitalization initiatives are also underway, reinforcing HKIA's pivotal role in global logistics and trade.
