Kenya has appointed Dar Al-Handasah Consultants as the engineer-consultant for the KSh154.2 billion modernization of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). The contract, announced by Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir, involves design review, project management, and construction supervision. This initiative aims to upgrade JKIA into a modern, efficient, and safe airport that adheres to international standards and enhances Kenya's status as a leading aviation hub in Africa. The modernization project is part of a broader strategy to bolster the nation's economy and improve air cargo capacity significantly by 2045.
