SLMARAD achieves its best performance ever.

The Sierra Leone Maritime Administration (SLMARAD) has achieved its best performance yet in the Paris MoU Flag Performance List, nearing White List status. This ranking is based on 172 Port State Control inspections and only 10 detentions during the 2023-2025 period, reflecting improved fleet quality and compliance. Compared to the previous assessment, Sierra Leone has reduced detentions while maintaining inspection levels. SLMARAD emphasizes ongoing technical oversight and quality management to support shipowners and aims to enhance its services further in pursuit of White List recognition.
