Volatus has obtained approval from Transport Canada for the Canary RPAS.

Volatus Aerospace has received Transport Canada’s Letter of Acceptance for its Canary Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS), marking it as one of the first companies in Canada to achieve this approval. Announced on July 8, 2026, the Canary is unique in meeting all safety requirements for Beyond Visual Line-of-Sight operations in populated areas using onboard detect-and-avoid technology. CEO Glen Lynch emphasized the significance of this achievement as a culmination of extensive efforts in engineering and regulatory engagement, supporting Volatus's strategy for advancing autonomous aviation systems into commercial use.
