DP World’s Marine Services has enhanced its fleet by acquiring the DP World Indus, a container vessel aimed at boosting domestic coastal trade in India. This addition strengthens Shipping Solutions' capabilities in efficient and sustainable cargo transport between key ports, easing road network congestion. Currently covering 14 ports with 10 vessels, the coastal network handled over 473,000 TEUs in 2025. Ganesh Raj highlighted the opportunity in India's coastal shipping sector for improving supply chain efficiency. The acquisition aligns with DP World’s strategy to bolster India's trade and logistics ecosystem while promoting sustainability.
