On July 2, American Airlines conducted a relief flight from Miami to Venezuela, delivering over 9,000 pounds of essential supplies to communities impacted by the June 24 earthquakes. The Boeing 737 carried vital items such as food, water, and hygiene products. José A. Freig, the airline's Vice President, expressed solidarity with the Venezuelan community during their recovery. American Airlines, which has a long-standing commitment to Venezuela, plans to resume flights to Caracas after the airport reopens and has implemented measures to assist affected passengers, including capped fares and flexible rebooking options.
