On June 30, 2026, Cathay Cargo announced the launch of a comprehensive intermodal perishables network that enhances Hong Kong's standing as a key cargo gateway in the Greater Bay Area (GBA). This includes a new refrigerated barge service connecting Hong Kong International Airport to Dongguan and an extended Air-Land Fresh Lane for deliveries to Macao, improving routing options and cold-chain reliability for shippers. With three operational routes tailored to different needs and backed by IATA CEIV Fresh certification, Cathay aims to further grow its network and facilitate efficient transport of premium perishables.
