Nearly a decade after first transporting the Capitol Christmas Tree from Alaska to Washington, D.C., Lynden Transport will once again handle this important delivery, featuring the same driver, John Schank. Partnering with the Tongass National Forest and the Society of American Foresters, the tree will be moved via Alaska Marine Lines to Seattle and then on a national truck tour to the Capitol. Schank, a celebrated driver with decades of accident-free experience, and veteran driver Fred Austin, are excited for the journey, which includes community events along the way.
