Kuehne+Nagel has formed a partnership with Google to reduce air freight emissions for Google Cloud shipments by utilizing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) starting in 2026. The agreement includes the procurement of up to 5.2 million litres of SAF, aiming to cut around 12,600 tonnes of CO₂e emissions. SAF, derived from renewable waste resources, can significantly lower greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional jet fuels. This collaboration underscores both companies' dedication to sustainability, enhancing the adoption of SAF and promoting lower-emission air freight practices.
