Glasgow Prestwick Airport has partnered with Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to enhance cargo connections between China and the UK, facilitating Asian e-commerce imports and Scottish exports. This memorandum of understanding was signed during the IATA North Asia Cargo Day in June. The collaboration aims to improve cargo development, operational knowledge, and network connectivity, addressing the rising demand for e-commerce and faster market access. Prestwick currently operates 15 weekly cargo services to mainland China and is focused on balancing trade flows while supporting exporters with better access to international markets.
