Global air cargo volumes dropped 9% from May 25 to 31, impacted by holidays like Pentecost and Eid al-Adha, with the most significant declines in Africa (-20%) and the MESA region (-21%). The average global air freight rate increased to $3.29 per kilogram, marking a 35% rise from the previous year, driven by significant increases from MESA and Africa.
