Singapore Changi Airport reported a 13.5% year-on-year increase in airfreight, handling 512,000 tonnes from July to September 2024. This growth was driven by improved cargo flows with China and the United States, and the top cargo markets included Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, and the U.S. Aircraft movements rose by 7.5%, totaling 92,100. Changi Airport now has 96 airlines operating over 7,000 weekly flights to 161 cities worldwide. New routes to Jieyang Chaoshan, Linyi, Quanzhou, and Taiyuan have been added, and two new airlines will begin services to Siem Reap and Osaka soon.
