HACTL receives the TIACA sustainability award for its circular cargo packaging initiative.

The International Air Cargo Association has announced the winners of the Air Cargo Sustainability Awards, with Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals (HACTL) receiving the Corporate Category award for its innovative project aimed at reducing single-use plastic waste in air cargo. HACTL developed aviation-grade polyethylene cargo films from post-consumer recycled materials, achieving validation for the first 100% recycled cargo film that meets industry standards. This initiative could divert 700 tonnes of plastic waste annually and reduce carbon emissions, showcasing the industry's commitment to sustainability.
